To a friend missed
A true friend that you were.
To hang around the shop.
All those to many to name you know who.
were so sad and you were not to blame,
now you have gone
your memory will live on
for all the good times you gave
the fun and games
there will always be a special place
and only in your name.
R.I.P. Linda, jim dunlop.
If We Could Bring You Back Again
If we could bring you back again,
For one more hour or day,
We’d express all our unspoken love;
We’d have countless things to say.
If we could bring you back again,
We’d say we treasured you,
And that your presence in our lives
Meant more than we ever knew.
If we could bring you back again,
To tell you what we should,
You’d know how much we miss you now,
And if we could, we would.
When Linda's journey began
Don't think of her as gone away
when her journey began
life holds so many facets
this earth is only one.
Just think of her as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.
Think how she must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of her as living
in the hearts of those she touched...
for nothing loved is ever lost
and she was loved so much.
My best friend, I will always miss you
From your best friend for now and always.

a tribute
If tears could build a stairway,
And memories were a lane,
We would walk right up to heaven
And bring you back again.
Our hearts still ache in sadness
And secret tears still flow.
What it meant to lose you
No one can ever know.
But now we know you want us
To mourn for you no more.
To remember all the happy times,
Life still has much in store.
a tribute to a special sister
The dearest sister and sweetest friend,
One of the best whom God could lend,
She was loving, gentle, thoughtful and true,
Always willing a kind act to do.
It is not tears at the moment shed
That tell how beloved is the soul that is fled,
But tears through many a long night wept,
And loving remembrance fondly kept.

A message to a local newspaper
Dear Shankill Mirror,
I was on the Shankill Road on Sunday March 23rd and watched as a memorial stone as unveiled and listened to the Minister,s speech as he told of the reason for the unveiling. It brought a tear to my eye and I felt proud to be watching this dignified event and the remembrance of the people who were murdered in the Bayardo bombing. It was a lovely gesture and a credit to the generosity of the members of the Bayardo Somme Association for paying for the stone.
I watced as the families of the victims laid their wreaths and it was very moving to hear about their loved ones. I can remember having some good times in the Bayardo and I am glad to see that this terrible deed will now never be forgotten.
Regards and best wishes
